Rationale: Generation Citizen will provide Yonkers Public Schools with a donation of $18,000 to support Professional Development and class materials at Riverside High School and Palisade Prep. The professional development is comprised of a full day workshop, project planning meetings, and classroom coaching. The materials include all student resources on civic education.
Funding: There is no cost for this program. The district is not financially liable for any of the materials that are provided to the teachers.
Resolution: WHEREAS the donor, Generation Citizen wishes to donate $18,000 to support Professional Development in Yonkers Public Schools during the term of initial contract.


WHEREAS the district administration has designed in conjunction with Generation Citizen a program which meets the objectives set forth by the Board and the New York State Education Department, and,

WHEREAS the Board of Education authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Generation Citizen to provide these services, and




NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that the Board of Education hereby approves the donation of $18,000 to Yonkers Public Schools.

It is acknowledged and agreed that pursuant to the terms of that certain intermunicipal agreement by and between the City of Yonkers Board of Education ("BOE") and the City of Yonkers (the "City") as filed in the Office of the City Clerk on June 16, 2014, the terms of this agreement are subject to review and revision by the Corporation Counsel, as well as approval by the City's Board of Contract and Supply. Furthermore, this Agreement shall not be enforceable until signed by both parties and approved by the Corporation Counsel's Office.
