To educate all students for academic excellence Term: July 1, 2018 - August 31, 2020 Amount : $157,815.00 Account: 2018-2019 Budget 490-5271-19C114-2250-B2300-$78,907.50 2019-2020 Budget 490-5271-20D114-2250-B2300-$78,907.50 Scope:To enter into a contract with Hunter College. To educate all students for academic excellence so as to adequately train and certify certain School District employees to fill special education teacher vacancies

Account: 2018-2019 Budget 490-5271-19C114-2250-B2300-$78,907.50 2019-2020 Budget 490-5271-20D114-2250-B2300-$78,907.50 Consequently, the total costs of the two year Program (estimated to be $157,815) will be borne by the IDEA Grant in an amount not to exceed $78,907.50 for each of the two years. No financial support from general funds is contemplated. Subsidiary grant support is also being explored to further reduce the participants’ contribution.

Resolution:

WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to enter into a contract with Hunter College . To educate all students for academic excellence to purchase academic professional services to train qualified Board of Education teaching assistants, substitutes and/or classroom aides (“personnel”), and WHEREAS the training will occur during the summer of 2018, so as to qualify these personnel for Transitional B Certification by NYSED; and WHEREAS the School District administration has designed in conjunction with Hunter College . To educate all students for academic excellence a program which meets the objectives set forth by the School District and NYSED; and WHEREAS the School District has determined that these services can best be provided by Hunter College. To educate all students for academic excellence; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that the School District hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Hunter College. To educate all students for academic excellence at a cost not to exceed $157,815.00 and hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into any other agreements in furtherance of this resolution. It is acknowledged and agreed that pursuant to the terms of that certain intermunicipal agreement by and between the City of Yonkers Board of Education (“BOE”) and the City of Yonkers (the “City”) as filed in the Office of the City Clerk on June 16, 2014, the terms of this agreement are subject to review and revision by the Corporation Counsel, as well as approval by the City’s Board of Contract and Supply. Furthermore, this Agreement shall not be enforceable until signed by both parties and approved by the Corporation Counsel’s Office.
