Rationale:
|
This resolution is to grant the administration the authority to enter into contract as described above. The work was procured via requests for quotations RFQ -2019-4609, which were received on March 29, 2019. Proposals were examined and all due diligence observed in determining the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. Liro Engineers, Inc. designed the work.
3 proposals were received. The responsive low bids ranged from $25,643.85 up to $150,250.00 with an average amount of $77,887.60, including add-on alternates.
The price for the work at PS 23 is more in line with the engineer’s estimate, and is required for the removal and disposal of mold contaminated materials for the Rock cellar, including cleaning and disinfection of approximately 7,500 SF (floor) and 2,500 SF (wall) area, and does not have any similar work planned for the near future so it is recommend that it proceed for this summer.
Total Environmental Restoration Solutions, Inc., was interviewed and all due diligence was taken to verify that they met the specified experience requirements, were comfortable with the work and their bid. They have worked with COY in the past on sewage water cleanup. |

WHEREAS: requests for quotations were solicited and opened on March 29, 2019, and as a result of the quotations submitted the administration recommended the award to the lowest responsible proposer, Total Environmental Restoration Solutions, Inc., in the amount not to exceed $ 25,643.85 and
