Rationale: Via Resolution 17.5 at their stated meeting on January 20, 2016 the Board of Trustees awarded a requirements contract to Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. (GPI), for an amount not to exceed $1 million.
Via Resolution 22.22 at the June 2017 stated meeting this contract was amended to increase the upset funding limit to $1.5 million and extend the term for another 3 years.

This amendment is required for the provision of special inspections for earth and concrete work required to be performed under the NY State Building Code for construction of the new parking lots being installed under Phase I work CIP 10732. These inspections are made by an independent 3rd party certified testing company. The inspection fees are paid by GPI who is reimbursed by the District at a direct no-mark up cost.

Resolution: Ladies and Gentlemen:

WHEREAS: under Resolution 22.26 at the stated meeting on June 22, 2017, the Board of Education authorized the Assignment of Professional Architectural/Engineering Services Task for PO 2018-206 “Restoration of Envelope, Security, Site, Parking and 6 Classroom Addition” at School 30 to Greenman-Pedersen, Inc for an amount not to exceed $449,300, and

WHEREAS: under Resolution 17.11 at the stated meeting on November 15, 2017, the Board of Education authorized Amendment No. 1 for the amount of $86,900.00, and

WHEREAS: under Resolution 16.12 at the stated meeting on August15, 2018, the Board of Education authorized Amendment No. 2 for the amount of $101,500, and

WHEREAS: additional work is required by the district to perform additional special inspections and testing for Phase I Work under CIP 10732, and

WHEREAS: the response by Greenman-Pedersen, Inc.to the request for the additional work issued by the Facilities Department was deemed most advantageous to the District at a cost not to exceed $49,657.50

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Superintendent of Schools is hereby authorized to amend PO 2018-206 with Greenman-Pedersen, Inc., 400 Rella Boulevard, Suite 207, Montebello, NY 10901 to provide additional professional Architectural/Engineering services for capital project 10732 “Restoration of Envelope, Security, Site, Parking and 6 Classroom Addition” at School 30, under Requirements Contract 617109 in the amount of $49,657.50 revising the assigned task from $436,700 to $486,357.50.
