GML104B Vehicle Service Group, LLC (DBA Rotary Lift) Term: 2017-2018 school year Amount: $19,820.99 Scope: NYS OGS contract PC67297. Our current curriculum in Automotive Technology includes a stand-alone class in steering/suspension. Students learn how to perform a four-wheel alignment system along with wheel balancing all four tires to complete a wheel alignment job. Our ASE automotive technician carefully examining the current wheel balancers in operation that students have been using for over 15 years at Saunders High School. The current state of the wheel balancers are showing several signs of significant ware as indicated by the age. In addition to this, the automotive wheel balancing technology has dramatically improved in the 21st century. The current wheel balancers cannot keep up with newer vehicle tire specs. Newer vehicles are lower profile by design and wider tire with advance TPS sensors. The proposed 21st century Coats Wheel Balancer sold by Rotary Lift accommodates newer vehicles. This will allow our technicians to fully focus on teaching how to properly service vehicle wheel balancing for wheel alignments.
