Rationale:
|
The subject contract provides a means for one 12 month extension of the contract under mutual consent of the parties under the same terms and conditions in the original bid. This will be the only extension. The amount applied by this resolution will only be $47,904.54 as an increase was previously added by “change order” resolution in June of 2019.
This resolution is to authorize the Superintendent of Schools to extend the subject contract for one year with Joseph Lombardo Plumbing and Heating, 321 Spook Rock Road, Suffern, NY 10909.
This contract is to continue to provide plumbing services to replace or remove lead water fixtures as necessary throughout the District to maintain compliance with NYS Law and as mandated by the Westchester County Dept. of Health.

Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS by Resolution Board Item No. 17.10 at the Board of Trustees stated meeting on November 15, 2017, contract No. 2018-00000306 was recommended for award to Joseph Lombardo Plumbing and Heating, 321 Spook Rock Road, Suffern, NY 10909 and,
WHEREAS bid specifications provide for one 12-month extension by the mutual consent of both parties, under the same terms and conditions of the original contract, and
WHEREAS the administration recommends the extension of this contract from November 16, 2018 to November 15, 2019 at the same rates for a cost not to exceed of $47,904.54, and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the ANNUAL SERVICE CONTRACT No. 2018-00000306 for “Remediation Plumbing Work” be extended for one year under the same terms and conditions with Joseph Lombardo Plumbing and Heating, 321 Spook Rock Road, Suffern, NY 10909 for a cost not to exceed $47,904.54 for a term of 365 calendar days.
