Rationale:
|
This is to amend the subject task as awarded in via resolution 21.14 on July 17, 2019 to defer the assignment of two phases of the design work: Bidding & Negotiation and Construction Administration. These phases of work the will not be required before the Summer of 2020. This deferment places frees up almost $200,000 in capital for other more immediate uses.
This project cost is estimated and being authorized for $13,100,000.00. Only the design fee is being funded at this time. The balance of roughly $12,450,000.00 will be funded at a later date using future bond sales.

Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS: under Resolution 21.14 at their stated meeting on July 17, 2019 the Board of Education authorized the assignment of Architectural/Engineering CIP 10877 “Replace Windows, Masonry, Select Interior Finishes and Site Work” at Family School 32 RFP 420-19-14 under Requirements Contract 617108 to Fuller and D’Angelo, P.C., in the amount of $875,420.00 for 1095 calendar days, and
WHEREAS: two phase of the assigned work Bidding & Negotiations and Construction Administration tasks under that assignment are not required for approximately one year and can be deferred until required, and
WHEREAS: this deferment will free up $198,944.00 in capital funding currently encumbered for those tasks for other more immediate capital needs.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Superintendent of Schools is hereby authorized to amend the assignment to Fuller and D’Angelo, P.C. Architects and Planners, 45 Knollwood Road, Elmsford, New York 10523 of providing professional Architectural/Engineering services for capital project CIP 10877 “Replace Windows, Masonry, Select Interior Finishes and Site Work” at Family School 32 under Contract 617108 to defer two phases of the assigned work Bidding & Negotiations and Construction Administration until a later date to free up $198,944.00 in capital funding currently encumbered for those tasks for other more immediate capital needs.
