Rationale:
|
This is to install new playground equipment on the recently acquired vacant lot formerly known as 109 Oak Street. The site work is essentially completed and the new playground is anticipated to be completed by earl fall 2018.
Procurement is through a piggyback onto the U.S. Communities Government Purchasing Alliance contract #2017-001135. Kompan Inc. continues to build playgrounds for the City of Yonkers Parks and Recreation Department having completed the Lt. Roy McLaughlin Park playground and current replacing the playground at Richter Field.

Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS: in accordance with General Municipal Law, the administration recommends a new contract with U.S. Communities Government Purchasing Alliance Contract Vendor, Kompan, Inc for installation of playground equipment and safety surfacing, and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that the Superintendent of Schools is authorized to award contract for CIP10838 “Installation of Playground Equipment & Safety Surfacing at Enrico Fermi School” to Kompan, Inc., 821 Grand Ave Pkwy, Ste 410, Pflugerville, TX 78660 in the amount of $151,052.75 for a term of 365 days.
