Rationale:

This Amendment is to include the cost to purchase the 32 security cameras for the subject capital project which were inadvertently omitted from the original proposal. There is a part number listed on the original proposal in the quantity of 32 which is only the mounting bracket for the cameras, not the actual cameras, therefore a separate proposal to include the cameras is added. This cost of the 32 cameras is $17,600.00 which increases the cost of this contract from $109,275.88 to $126,875.88. The term of 365 calendar days remains the same. This PO is for the purchase of High Tech Security Equipment, Programming & Commissioning (Part & Smarts) for the subject CIP via New York State OGS Contract PT66950, Group 77201, Award 20191 in the amount of $17,600.00. Term is remains unchanged. This will permit viewing by the City Command center as well as District administration. The work will include but is not limited to: furnishing all access control, CCTV and intrusion head end and peripheral equipment; programming; hardware and software design; commissioning and training. The installation of all of this equipment, conduit and wiring is being performed by All Bright Electric under Contract 3 of 3 Electrical per Bid 6275. Overall, CIP10817 is to include but is not necessarily limited to minor roof and masonry façade restoration, replacement of exterior doors & balance of windows which were not replaced during the last capital improvement project. In addition the design will address site issues to improve surface and roof drainage, upgrades to pavement, sidewalks, signage, fencing and lighting. The project will incorporate abatement of hazardous materials requisite with respect to other construction operations. The building security will be upgraded to conform to the City security systems and monitoring. The project cost is budgeted for $2.1 million. ASSESSMENT PROCESS: The School Facilities Management, Sammel Architecture and Construction Manager Savin Engineers, P.C. will be inspecting the contractor’s work and monitoring the construction schedule through on-site inspections, biweekly progress meetings and record keeping.
