Susan Radley Brown, Inc. Term: October 18, 2018 – June 30, 2019 Amount: $75,000 Scope: The Susan Radley Brown, Inc. consultant will provide job embedded onsite literacy professional development in order to improve student writing and raise performance levels on NYSED assessments. The work will align with the Common Core Learning Standards (CCLS). The work will focus on the workshop model and create an understanding of how the work supports the CCLS. Resolution:

WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to enter into a contract with Susan Radley Brown, Inc. to purchase consulting services to support job embedded onsite literacy professional development in order to improve student writing and raise performance levels on NYSED assessments for the October 18, 2018 to June 30, 2019 term, WHEREAS the district administration has designed in conjunction with Susan Radley Brown, Inc., a program which meets the objectives set forth by the Board and the New York State Education Department, and, WHEREAS the District has determined that these services can best be provided by Susan Radley Brown, Inc., and, WHEREAS the District has evaluated past services from the vendor and has determined that Susan Radley Brown, Inc. has performed in a satisfactory manner, and NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Susan Radley Brown, Inc. at a cost not to exceed $75,000. It is acknowledged and agreed that pursuant to the terms of that certain intermunicipal agreement by and between the City of Yonkers Board of Education (“BOE”) and the City of Yonkers (the “City”) as filed in the Office of the City Clerk on June 16, 2014, the terms of this agreement are subject to review and revision by the Corporation Counsel, as well as approval by the City’s Board of Contract and Supply. Furthermore, this Agreement shall not be enforceable until signed by both parties and approved by the Corporation Counsel’s Office.
