Scope: The District continues to utilize the AS/400 mini computer, which hosts District personnel information. It is essential to provide ongoing maintenance and support to all of the hardware components associated with this system to ensure all systems and peripherals remain operational.

Resolution:

WHEREAS the District currently operates an IBM AS/400 mini computer to process personnel data and,
WHEREAS this system houses information to District staff on matters related to personnel data and,
WHEREAS the continued maintenance and support of the AS/400 and related peripherals such as, tape subsystems and printers, is crucial in order to keep all systems to above mentioned processes operational and,
WHEREAS the District has evaluated past services from the vendor and has determined that IBM has performed in a satisfactory manner.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with IBM at a cost not to exceed $9324.00.
