Rationale: SupportedEd, LLC
Term: September 1, 2017 – August 31, 2018
Amount: $25,000
Scope: The purpose of the service is to provide professional development (PD) to 10th grade content teachers in Lincoln High School and Gorton High School so that they are better prepared to meet the language and literacy needs of their English language learners (ELLs) and all 10th grade students.

SupportEd, LLC. will provide professional development and coaching is $25,000 ($6,250 per on-site day of PD and/or coaching). This fee includes an online needs assessment, consultation with the Gear Up team, consultation with the two principals, debriefs after each on-site visit, and online coaching on an as-needed basis.

Extend the term of the contract from 9/1/2017 - 6/30/2018 to 8/31/2018 with no increase to the aggregate because the grant end on 8/31/18.

Resolution: WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to enter into a contract with SupportedEd, LLC to purchase consulting services to support professional development (PD) to 10th grade content teachers in Lincoln High School and Gorton High School for the 2017-2018 school year,

WHEREAS the district administration has designed in conjunction with SupportedEd, LLC a program which meets the objectives set forth by the Board and the New York State Education Department, and,

WHEREAS the Board of Education authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with SupportedEd, LLC to provide these services, and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with SupportedEd, LLC at a cost not to exceed $25,000.

It is acknowledged and agreed that pursuant to the terms of that certain intermunicipal agreement by and between the City of Yonkers Board of Education (“BOE”) and the City of Yonkers (the “City”) as filed in the Office of the City Clerk on June 16, 2014, the terms of this agreement are subject to review and revision by the Corporation Counsel, as well as approval by the City’s Board of Contract and Supply. Furthermore, this Agreement shall not be enforceable until signed by both parties and approved by the Corporation
