Rationale: Yonkers Partners in Education
Term: November, 2018 – June, 2019
Amount: $67,825
Scope: Agreement to amend existing contract with Yonkers Partners in Education to provide additional services to Gorton High School students. The services include academic support, life skills development, college visits, parent workshops and SAT/ACT prep. This is an amendment to existing master contract # 2019-00000256 for $80,000 approved by the Board on 8/15/18 and BOCS on 8/23/18. This amendment represents an increase of $67,825 due to an increase of services being provided. The total contract amount will be $147,825.

Resolution: WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to amend its existing contract with Yonkers Partners in Education to purchase additional services to provide academic support, life skills development, college visits, parent workshops and SAT/ACT prep for the November, 2018 to June, 2019 term,

WHEREAS the district administration has designed in conjunction with Yonkers Partners in Education, a program which meets the objectives set forth by the Board and the New York State Education Department, and,

WHEREAS the District has determined that these services can best be provided by Yonkers Partners in Education, and,

WHEREAS the District has evaluated past services from the vendor and has determined that Yonkers Partners in Education has performed in a satisfactory manner, and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Yonkers Partners in Education at a cost not to exceed $67,825.

It is acknowledged and agreed that pursuant to the terms of that certain intermunicipal agreement by and between the City of Yonkers Board of Education (“BOE”) and the City of Yonkers (the “City”) as filed in the Office of the City Clerk on June 16, 2014, the terms of this agreement are subject to review and revision by the Corporation Counsel, as well as approval by the City’s Board of Contract and Supply. Furthermore, this Agreement shall not be enforceable until signed by both parties and approved by the Corporation Counsel’s Office.
