Rationale: A change order is a written agreement between the District and its contractor to change a building construction contract. They add to, delete from, or otherwise alter the work and/or progress schedule in the contract bid documents. CO’s are caused by any of three situations that can arise on a project: unforeseen conditions, design errors and omissions and owner directed extra work.


This is a credit Change Order of $10,000.00 for the entire remaining balance to a $10,000.00 allowance of any additional work in the contract.

There were no owner requested extra work in this contract.

Resolution: Ladies and Gentlemen:

WHEREAS by Resolution Board Item No. 22.22 at the Board of Trustees stated meeting on June 19th,2018, contract No. 2019-00000041 was recommended for award to Milcon Construction Corporation, 142 Dale Street, W. Babylon, NY 11704 and,

WHEREAS: in the course of executing the contracted work it was determined that additional allowance work was not required to be performed for a credit in the amount of $10,000.00, decreasing the overall cost of the contract from $110,400.00 to $100,400.00.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Superintendent of Schools is hereby authorized to issue Change Order 1 to contract No. 2019-00000041 , Construction Contract, CIP10821, “Roof and Masonry Repairs" at SCHOOL 17 to Milcon Construction Corporation for a CREDIT in the amount of $10,000.00, decreasing the overall cost of the contract from $110,400.00 to $100,400.00.
