Science Materials vendors per attached list Term: 12/1/18 – 8/31/19 Amount: $21,295.40 Scope: To provide 2018-19 funding for science equipment, materials and resources for the Yonkers Public Schools district. These supplies will support the MSP grant’s goal of providing equitable and rigorous STEM instruction in middle school. The math manipulatives will support teachers in developing math lessons aligned with the NYSED modules. Reviewed the alternates and approved the alternates to the lowest bidder. Resolution:

WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to enter into a contract with the attached vendors to purchase science equipment, materials and resources for the Yonkers Public Schools district for the 2018-2019 school year, WHEREAS the district administration has designed in conjunction with the attached vendors a program which meets the objectives set forth by the Board and the New York State Education Department, and WHEREAS the Board of Education authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with the attached vendors to provide these services, and NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with the attached vendors at a cost not to exceed $21,295.40 It is acknowledged and agreed that pursuant to the terms of that certain intermunicipal agreement by and between the City of Yonkers Board of Education (“BOE”) and the City of Yonkers (the “City”) as filed in the Office of the City Clerk on June 16, 2014, the terms of this agreement are subject to review and revision by the Corporation Counsel, as well as approval by the City’s Board of Contract and Supply. Furthermore, this Agreement shall not be enforceable until signed by both parties and approved by the Corporation Counsel’s Office.
