Rationale:
|
This is to the subject contract per the attached emergency declaration issued by the Superintendent on February 26, 2019. RFP are not required under an emergency declaration.
Watsky Associates, Inc. will be required to provide architectural roofing consulting services which include but are not limited to assisting the district in assessing the damaged roof, reporting, consulting for claims made against insurance roof manufacturer warranty, and designs for making permanent repairs. The consultant’s services will be billed at their proposed hourly rates.

Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS: An Emergency Declaration was issued on February 26, 2019 for “Roof Wind Damage Repairs” at Roosevelt High School, and
WHEREAS such task requires the services of a professional Architect, and
WHEREAS: Watsky Associates, Inc. has successfully completed several roof projects in the Yonkers Public Schools; and
WHEREAS: in response to a request from the Administration, Watsky Associates, Inc. will provide the Architectural Services for the “Roof Wind Damage Repairs” at Roosevelt High School in the amount not to exceed $10,000.00.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Superintendent of Schools is hereby authorized to AWARD a contract for Professional Architectural/Engineering Design Services for the “Roof Wind Damage Repairs” at Roosevelt High School Project, with Watsky Associates, Inc., 20 Madison Avenue, Valhalla, NY, 10595.
