Center for Technology and School Change (CTSC), Teachers College
Term: June 2018 – August 2018
Amount: $74,250
Scope: Agreement to amend existing contract with the Center for Technology and School Change (CTSC) at Teachers College, Columbia University, to provide additional consulting services to the Yonkers Public Schools to support the Yonkers Summer 2018 STEAM Learning Lab initiative at the Cedar Place Elementary School. This is an amendment to the existing master contract 2018-00000215 of $120,000 (BOE approved 8/16/17 and BOCS approved 8/25/17) and represents an increase of $74,250 due to an increase of services being provided. The total contract amount will be $194,250.

Resolution:

WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to amend its existing contract with CTSC, Teachers College to purchase additional consulting services to support the Yonkers Summer 2018 STEAM Learning Lab initiative at the Cedar Place Elementary School for the June 2018 to August 2018 term,
WHEREAS the district administration has designed in conjunction with CTSC, Teachers College, a program which meets the objectives set forth by the Board and the New York State Education Department, and,
WHEREAS the District has determined that these services can best be provided by CTSC, Teachers College, and,
WHEREAS the District has evaluated past services from the vendor and has determined that CTSC, Teachers College has performed in a satisfactory manner, and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with CTSC, Teachers College at a cost not to exceed $74,250.
It is acknowledged and agreed that pursuant to the terms of that certain intermunicipal agreement by and between the City of Yonkers Board of Education (“BOE”) and the City of Yonkers (the “City”) as filed in the Office of the City Clerk on June 16, 2014, the terms of this agreement are subject to review and revision by the Corporation Counsel, as well as approval by the City’s Board of Contract and Supply. Furthermore, this Agreement shall not be enforceable until signed by both parties and approved by the Corporation Counsel’s Office.
