Scope: Generation Ready, Inc. will provide professional development services for all teachers and staff at Martin Luther King, Jr. Academy during the 2018-19 school year that will focus on developing the staff’s capacity to plan implement Common Core Standards based literacy instruction that is rigorous and student centered.

Resolution
WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to enter into a contract with Generation Ready, Inc. to purchase consulting services to support professional development services for all teachers and staff at Martin Luther King, Jr. Academy for the 2018-2019 school year,

WHEREAS the district administration has designed in conjunction with Generation Ready, Inc., a program which meets the objectives set forth by the Board and the New York State Education Department, and,

WHEREAS the District has determined that these services can best be provided by Generation Ready, Inc., and,

WHEREAS the District has evaluated past services from the vendor and has determined that Generation Ready, Inc. has performed in a satisfactory manner, and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Generation Ready, Inc. at a cost not to exceed $34,000.

It is acknowledged and agreed that pursuant to the terms of that certain intermunicipal agreement by and between the City of Yonkers Board of Education (“BOE”) and the City of Yonkers (the “City”) as filed in the Office of the City Clerk on June 16, 2014, the terms of this agreement are subject to review and revision by the Corporation Counsel, as well as approval by the City’s Board of Contract and Supply. Furthermore, this Agreement shall not be enforceable until signed by both parties and approved by the Corporation Counsel’s Office.
