Amount: Not to exceed $55,928

This amendment will provide the necessary supplemental instructional resources to support science Instruction with the Mystery Science curriculum for Grades K-5. Mystery Science will be providing instructional kits for each K-2 teacher in the district with sufficient resources for a full class of students. These instructional kits are necessary to effectively teach the science curriculum.
This is an amendment to the existing contract of $15,968 (BOE approved 5/16/18 and BOCS approved 5/17/18 and represents an increase of $39,960) The total contract amount will be $55,928.00

Resolution: WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to enter into a contract with Mystery Science to provide digital science curriculum for K-5 teachers districtwide for the 2018-2019 school year,

WHEREAS the district administration has designed in conjunction with Mystery Science a program which meets the objectives set forth by the Board and the New York State Education Department, and,

WHEREAS the Board of Education authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Mystery Science to provide these services, and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Mystery Science at a cost not to exceed $55,928.00.

It is acknowledged and agreed that pursuant to the terms of that certain intermunicipal agreement by and between the City of Yonkers Board of Education (“BOE”) and the City of Yonkers (the “City”) as filed in the Office of the City Clerk on June 16, 2014, the terms of this agreement are subject to review and revision by the Corporation Counsel, as well as approval by the City’s Board of Contract and Supply. Furthermore, this Agreement shall not be enforceable until signed by both parties and approved by the Corporation Counsel’s Office.
