WHEREAS the Superintendent of Schools has prepared the attached calendar for the Yonkers Public Schools for the school year 2025-2026, providing for attendance of certified staff on Tuesday, September 2, 2025; for the opening of schools for pupils on Wednesday, September 3, 2025; and closing at the conclusion of the school session for pupils and staff on Friday, June 26, 2026, with the aggregate number of days provided for being 185, and
WHEREAS the Superintendent of Schools advises the Board of Education that this calendar will meet all requirements of the New York State Department of Education.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education approves and adopts the attached school calendar for the Yonkers Public Schools for the 2025-2026 school year.
