Rationale: Westchester Jewish Community Services
Term: January, 2018 – August 31, 2018
Amount: $20,131.53
Scope: The purpose of this amendment is to correct the overall total contract amount for Westchester Jewish Community Services for consulting services provided to select Yonkers Public Schools. The existing master contract (2018-00000528) of $146,092 was approved by the Board on 11/15/17 and BOCS approved on 11/16/17. The first amendment of $20,131.53 was approved by the Board on 1/17/18 and BOCS approved on 1/25/18. The total contract amount will be $166,223.53.

There will be no change in the consulting services provided or the total services costs already approved by both the BOE and BOCS. This amendment serves to correct the overall total contract amount.

Resolution: WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to amend January 2018 Resolution 17.3 to reflect a correction of the total contract amount with Westchester Jewish Community Services for consulting services which will promote the social and emotional wellness of Palisade Preparatory School students from January 2018 to August 31, 2018,

WHEREAS the district administration has designed in conjunction with Westchester Jewish Community Services, a program which meets the objectives set forth by the Board and the New York State Education Department, and,

WHEREAS the District has determined that these services can best be provided by Westchester Jewish Community Services, and,

WHEREAS the District has evaluated past services from the vendor and has determined that Westchester Jewish Community Services has performed in a satisfactory manner, and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Westchester Jewish Community Services at a cost not to exceed $20,131.53.

It is acknowledged and agreed that pursuant to the terms of that certain intermunicipal agreement by and between the City of Yonkers Board of Education (“BOE”) and the City of Yonkers (the “City”) as filed in the Office of the City Clerk on June 16, 2014, the terms of this agreement are subject to review and revision by the Corporation Counsel, as well as approval by the City’s Board of Contract and Supply. Furthermore, this Agreement shall not be enforceable until signed by both parties and approved by the Corporation Counsel’s Office.
