Rationale: This is for the purchase of one 30 cubic yard and one 20 cubic yard recycling roll–off containers to be utilized at Roosevelt High School and School 21, respectively. Procurement is though a request for quotes (RFQ 2018-2968) issued by the purchasing department on November 9, and opened on November 14, 2017. There were 3 responses. Copper Tank at $10,420.00, Custom Containers at $13,488.000 and Rudco Products at $15,411.00.

The 20 cubic yard dumpster at School 21 is in a very prominent location in the play and parking area of the school. It has become an eyesore due to its age but is still serviceable. It will be replaced with the new unit and the existing dumpster will be relocated to School 22, in a fenced isolated location. The existing deteriorated dumpster at School 22 will be turned over to the City DPW for disposal.

The new 30 cubic yard dumpster for Roosevelt will be replacing an existing unusable unit which will be turned over the City DPW for disposal.
