Rationale:

RFB6107 was opened on June 5, 2019 with four bidders submitting. FM who currently has the contract was followed closely by WELD Generator at $67,386.00 who had the contract in 2017. This subject contract covers the 12 schools with emergency power facilities. There are also provisions for performing owner directed additional work on a requirements basis at contract unit prices. It is renewable annually under mutual agreement for up to two additional years. This is $5,201.00 more than last year. This is due to an increase in the quantity of parts by the District. FM Generator had this contract with the school district from 2014 to 2017. This service contract, developed by School Facilities Management, ensures the safe and reliable operation of the district emergency power systems. It was last bid in 2017, awarded to Weld Power Generator for $61,629.00 and extended once. FOCUS POPULATION: The students and staff of Schools: Boyce Thompson, School 15, M L King, Cedar Place, Enrico Fermi, Yonkers Montessori Academy, Riverside High School, Lincoln High School, Yonkers Middle High School, Saunders High School, School 13 and Montessori School 31.
