Term: 5/1/19 – 6/30/20 Amount: $40,415.00 Scope: This amendment is for the purchase of Kindergarten and 5th grade supply packs to support science instruction using Mystery Science. This amendment represents an increase of $40,415. The original resolution for $97,660 was approved by the Board on 4/24/2019 and BOCS on 5/2/2019. The total contract amount will be $138,075.

WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to enter into a contract with Mystery Science to provide digital science curriculum and supplies for elementary teachers districtwide for the 2018 through 2020 school years, WHEREAS the district administration has designed in conjunction with Mystery Science a program which meets the objectives set forth by the Board and the New York State Education Department, and, WHEREAS the Board of Education authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Mystery Science to provide these services, and NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Mystery Science at a cost not to exceed $138,875. It is acknowledged and agreed that pursuant to the terms of that certain intermunicipal agreement by and between the City of Yonkers Board of Education (“BOE”) and the City of Yonkers (the “City”) as filed in the Office of the City Clerk on June 16, 2014, the terms of this agreement are subject to review and revision by the Corporation Counsel, as well as approval by the City’s Board of Contract and Supply. Furthermore, this Agreement shall not be enforceable until signed by both parties and approved by the Corporation Counsel’s Office.
