Rationale: Bids for RFB -6328 were publically advertised, received and opened on November 9, 2018. Only one bid was received and reviewed. This year’s award is $9,970.00 less than last year’s contract due to a reduction in estimated amount of repair work that will be required on the trucks.

H&C Truck Repair was the sole bidder, however they have won this contract in the past through competitive bidding and have performed acceptably. This latest bid is in line with the prices bid for this work in the past. Last year’s contract was awarded for $90,000.00, out of which $85,300.00 has been expensed to date. The contract expires on 11/29/2018.

This is the annual service contract, with the provision for renewal upto three years by mutual consent under the same terms and conditions to repair as needed any and all of the trucks owned by the YPS on a time and materials (T&M) basis.

Resolution: Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS: in compliance with NYS General Municipal Law 103 bids were duly solicited, opened in public and read aloud on November 9, 2018 for Bid 6328 and,

WHEREAS: One bid was received with Argyle Motor Works, dba H&C Truck Repair., being the responsive and responsible bid of $80,030, and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that the Superintendent of Schools is authorized to enter into a contract for Bid No. 6328 “Truck repair services for the Yonkers School District” to Argyle Motor Works, dba H&C Truck Repair, 801 Nepperhan Ave., Yonkers NY 10703 in an amount not to exceed $80,030.00 for a period of 365 calendar days.
