Rationale:
|
This contract was awarded via Board Resolution Item 18.9 on November 20, 2018 and has provisions in the contract for an annual extension under the same terms and conditions as that originally awarded for up to two additional years. The first year was fully expensed.
It provides for the on-call repair of the intercoms and public address systems throughout the District.

Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS bids were solicited and opened on August 31, 2018, in compliance with General Municipal Law for the Yonkers Public Schools, and
WHEREAS via Board Resolution Item 18.9 dated November 20, 2018 was approved awarding Contract 2018-0000570 “Repair Clocks, Intercoms, and PA systems” to Symbrant Technologies for the amount $89,000.00 and a term of 356 calendar days, and
WHEREAS the executed contract contains provisions whereby it can be extended annually, by mutual consent, under the same terms and conditions for up to two additional years, and
WHEREAS both parties have agreed to invoke this clause and extend this contract as described,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the first annual extension for the said contract be awarded to Symbrant Technologies 16 Commerce Drive, Farmingdale, NY 11735, in the amount not to exceed $89,000.00.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Yonkers Board of Education authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into a contract with this vendor.
