Scope- This resolution as required by Part 200 regulations from the Special Education Department requesting the Board of Trustees' approval of the placement of students with a disability to various school outside the Yonkers Public Schools.
This amendment reflects the increase of the percentage that the District must pay for special needs students who require housing. The 2019-2020 Residential Local Share cost rate was 38.434% and NY State increased the rate April 1, 2020 to 56.848%. The increase is needed to cover the mandated cost of Residential Local Share for the months of April to June.

WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to amend Resolution #14.8 Out of District Placement of Disabled Students 2019-2020 approved June 19, 2019, BOCS approved June 27, 2019.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that the Superintendent of Schools hereby authorizes the increase in funding needed to cover the cost of Residential Local Share for the months of April to June at an additional amount not to exceed $180,000.00
