Rationale:
|
To approve a Personal Services Agreement between the Yonkers Public Schools and Rita Morehead for the position of Interim Acting Principal.

Resolution:
|
WHEREAS, the Yonkers Public Schools desires and needs to obtain the services of a qualified and experienced individual to provide temporary professional services in the capacity of Interim Acting Principal at School 9; and
WHEREAS, the Superintendent of Schools has undertaken a search and interview process sufficient to the Board of Education to find an individual to meet the aforesaid needs of the Yonkers Public Schools; and
WHEREAS, Rite Morehead is found to be a qualified and experienced person sufficient to meet the needs of the Yonkers Public Schools, based upon her previous years employed in an administrator’s capacity sufficient to enable her to act as Interim Acting Principal; and
WHEREAS, a Personal Services Agreement has been negotiated between the Superintendent of Schools and Rita Morehead for her to be retained on a contractor basis to act as Interim Acting Principal at School 9; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Education has had an opportunity to review the terms of the proposed Personal Services Agreement, and finds that the terms therein are fair, reasonable and appropriate under the circumstances;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Education hereby approves the proposed Personal Services Agreement, to be made between the Yonkers Public Schools and Rita Morehead, under the terms and conditions set forth in the proposed agreement presented to the Board of Education for review; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Superintendent of Schools is authorized to enter into the Personal Services Agreement with Rita Morehead as presented in the form presented.
