My Hands My Tools
Term: March, 2018 – August, 2018
Amount: $22,010
Scope: Agreement to amend existing contract with My Hands My Tools to provide additional environmental citizen art workshops services to parents of students in the Receivership schools and EMPIRE YASA schools. Parents will be taught art by transforming everyday rejected or trashed items into artistic items. The program will also be conducted in French and Spanish at parents’ request. This is an amendment to the existing master contract # 2018-00000556 approved by the Board on 12/20/17 and approved by BOCS on 12/28/17. This represents an increase of $22,010 due an increase of schools and services being provided. The total contract amount will be $38,670.

Resolution:

WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to amend its existing contract with My Hands My Tools to purchase additional consulting services to support environmental citizen art workshops for parents of students in the Receivership schools and EMPIRE YASA schools from March, 2018 to August, 2018,
WHEREAS the district administration has designed in conjunction with My Hands My Tools, a program which meets the objectives set forth by the Board and the New York State Education Department, and,
WHEREAS the District has determined that these services can best be provided by My Hands My Tools, and,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with My Hands My Tools at a cost not to exceed $22,010.
It is acknowledged and agreed that pursuant to the terms of that certain intermunicipal agreement by and between the City of Yonkers Board of Education (“BOE”) and the City of Yonkers (the “City”) as filed in the Office of the City Clerk on June 16, 2014, the terms of this agreement are subject to review and revision by the Corporation Counsel, as well as approval by the City’s Board of Contract and Supply. Furthermore, this Agreement shall not be enforceable until signed by both parties and approved by the Corporation Counsel’s Office.
