Rationale:
|
Via Resolution 15.15 at the stated meeting dated February 26, 2020, the Board of Trustees awarded a 3-year requirements contract to F&D for an amount not to exceed $1.0 million. The subject task is being assigned to F&D under this contract.
This RFP was issued to three A/E firms. Two responded, F&D winning with the lowest cost proposal.
They will provide architectural engineering services from kick-off through Construction Documents & procurement of a permit from SED for the fee of $220,000.00. Fees for bid documents, bidding, post bid and construction services are not included. This work will be assigned at a later date as circumstances require.
The scope of 10957 “Building and Site Upgrades” at School 30 includes but is not limited to:
A new roof & envelope work, new fire alarm & PA system, office build out at former stage location, rehabilitation of toilet rooms, new playgrounds and HVAC upgrades in common areas.
The current budget is $5.2 million with construction anticipated to be in 2024-25.

Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS: Via Resolution 15.15 at the stated meeting on February 26, 2020, the Board of Education authorized the award of a requirements based, professional Architectural/Engineering services contract to Fuller and D’Angelo P.C. Architects and Planners in response to District RFP404 “Architectural & Engineering Services for the School Facilities Management Department” for an amount not to exceed $1 million, and
WHEREAS: work as defined under that contract is required for capital projects 10957 “Building and Site Upgrades” at School 30, and
WHEREAS: the response by Fuller and D’Angelo P.C. Architects and Planners was deemed most advantageous to the District at a cost not to exceed $220,000.00.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Superintendent of Schools is hereby authorized to appoint Fuller and D’Angelo P.C. Architects and Planners, Road 45 Knollwood Road, Elmsford, New York 10523, to the task of providing professional Architectural/Engineering services for Capital Project 10957 “Building and Site Upgrades” at School 30 to Fuller & D’Angelo P.C., for $220,000 and for a term of 365 calendar days.
