Rationale: Bid No. RFB6254 was opened on March 16, 2018.
There were four bidders. The first apparent low bidder All Star Cleaning and Supply at $18,750.00 was rejected due to their bidding an inferior product that did not meet the bid specifications. These machines are to replace older machines that are beyond their useful lives.

Resolution: Ladies and Gentlemen:

WHEREAS: the district desires to maintain and clean its buildings in the most effective manner, and

WHEREAS: the propane stripping machines have proven to be a significant part of this effectiveness, and

WHEREAS: in accordance with General Municipal Law, the administration recommends such procurement under this bid to E.A. Morse & Co. Inc. in an amount not to exceed $23,737.26

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the award for the delivery of Propane Machines be awarded to E.A. Morse & Co. Inc. 11-25 Harding Street, PO Box 728, Middletown NY 10940

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Yonkers Board of Education authorized the Purchasing Director to issue a purchase order to E.A. Morse & Co. Inc. in the amount of $23,737.26
