Rationale:
|
This contract was awarded to Ultimate Power, Inc., 45 Nancy Street, West Babylon, NY 11704-1498 under NYS General Municipal Law 103 via Board Resolutions 18.2 on July 19, 2017 and was extended per the terms of the contract for the first additional year via Board Resolution 19.6 on May 16, 2018 and is hereby being extended for the second and final year. This work will be let for bid again in Spring 2020.
The purpose of this service agreement is for the annual cleaning, service for all burners and boilers to ensure the continuous operation of the heating plans in each of the District-owned buildings. It also contains provisions for repairs and/or upgrades as required.
FOCUS POPULATION - Included are all schools in the Yonkers Public School District.
ASSESSMENT PROCESS: School Facilities Management Department will evaluate performance of contractor with on-site inspections.

Ladies and Gentlemen;
WHEREAS; bids were solicited and opened on May5, 2017, in compliance with General
Municipal Law 103 for the “Service and Repair of Oil Burners and Cleaning and Repair of Boilers” and as a result of an examination of the bids submitted, the
administration recommended the award to the lowest responsible bidder, Ultimate Power, Inc., 45 Nancy Street West Babylon, N.Y. 11704 in an amount not to exceed $695,800.00 and
WHEREAS; the contract provides a means to extend this contract by mutual consent of the
parties annually for up two additional years under the same terms and conditions as bid, and
WHEREAS; both parties have agreed to invoke this clause and extend this contract as
described,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the contract awarded to Ultimate Power, Inc. 45
Nancy Street West Babylon, N.Y. 11704 in an amount not to exceed $695,800.00 for Contract No. 2017-00000600 “Maintenance and Repair of Oil Burners and Cleaning and Repair of Boilers” be extended for another year.
