Rationale: Westchester Community College
Term: 9/1/17 – 8/31/18
Amount: $43,320.42
Scope: Agreement with Westchester Community College to amend its existing contract to provide additional services to students at Roosevelt High School – Early College Studies with the opportunity to earn college credit. The courses are taught under the guidelines of the Early College Experience (ECE) program. This is an amendment to existing master contract of $116,323 approved by the Board on 12/20/17 and approved by BOCS on 12/28/17. This represents an increase of $43,320.42 due to an increase in schools being serviced and services being provided. The total contract amount will be $159,643.42.

Resolution: WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to amend its existing contract with Westchester Community College to purchase additional consulting services to provide students at Roosevelt High School with the opportunity to earn college credit for the 9/1/17 to 8/31/18 grant term,

WHEREAS the district administration has designed in conjunction with Westchester Community College, a program which meets the objectives set forth by the Board and the New York State Education Department, and,

WHEREAS the District has determined that these services can best be provided by Westchester Community College, and,

WHEREAS the District has evaluated past services from the vendor and has determined that Westchester Community College has performed in a satisfactory manner, and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Westchester Community College at a cost not to exceed $43,320.42.

It is acknowledged and agreed that pursuant to the terms of that certain intermunicipal agreement by and between the City of Yonkers Board of Education (“BOE”) and the City of Yonkers (the “City”) as filed in the Office of the City Clerk on June 16, 2014, the terms of this agreement are subject to review and revision by the Corporation Counsel, as well as approval by the City’s Board of Contract and Supply. Furthermore, this Agreement shall not be enforceable until signed by both parties and approved by the Corporation Counsel’s Office.
