Rationale:
|
This is to permit the District to piggyback onto the subject contract which was approved by the City’s BOCS November 2, of 2017. A&J Construction of NY will be making larger repairs at various locations under direction of the District on a time and material basis at the rates already bid and awarded by the City.

Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS: the District is in need of supplemental roofing repairs, and
WHEREAS: It is permissible and beneficial for agencies in New York State to piggyback onto existing contracts permitting such with other agencies that have been duly procured in compliance with applicable laws, and
WHEREAS: contract No. 2018-00000281 between the City of Yonkers and A&J Construction of NY permits such and was duly procured and award by the City BOCS on November 2, 2017, and
WHEREAS: A&J Construction has agreed to honor all terms and conditions as awarded by the City and desires to extend these services to the Board of Education.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the award for the Roofing and Related Repairs
be made to A & J Construction of NY Inc, 163 Foxwood Road, West Nyack, NY 10994 via Contract No. 2018-00000281 between the City of Yonkers and A&J Construction of NY for an maount not to exceed $30,000.00 for a term of 365 calendar days.
