Rationale:
|
This is to furnish and deliver two (2) X738 4wd garden tractors each equipped with: 48” mower deck, 54” plow blades, 52” rotary power brooms and 47” snow throwers.
This will replace one unit destroyed earlier in the year at YMHS and provide an added unit for use at Saunders. These tractors are of great benefit for the larger schools with multi acre fields, parking lots and long runs of sidewalk. They can and will be transported about the District for use in heavy snow situations.

Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS, The District desires to maintain its fields in the summer and clear its sidewalks in the winter, and
WHEREAS, some such maintenance and clearing is most cost effectively performed by machines such as the John Deere X738 4wd Tractor, and
WHEREAS, these tractors are available for purchase through the NYS OGS Contract Award 22792, Group 40625 from Argento & Sons Inc., 1 Prospect Ave. White Plains, NY 10607, and
WHEREAS: in accordance with General Municipal Law, the District is permitted to avail itself of the goods awarded in this contract, and
WHEREAS, capital bond funding is has been made available for this purpose, and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the award for the PURCHASE ORDER for Two (2) John Deere X738 Garden Tractors and Related Equipment be made to Argento & Sons Inc., via NYS OGS Contract Award 22792, Group 40625 for an amount not to exceed $ 34,589.08.
