GML104B Levels Barber Institute Term: 2018-2019 school year Amount: $18,270.00 Scope:The Yonkers Public Schools Pathways to Success (PTS) Adult Education program is requisitioning the execution of a contract to provide professional instruction for 30 Adult Education students in the area of barbering. Upon successful completion of the program, students will receive a Barber Infection Control Certification, which represents the written component of New York State Master Barber Licensure. Students will then be fully prepared for employment as an Apprentice Barber.

WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to enter into a contract with Levels Barber Institute to provide barbering training and infection control certification to support the Adult Education Program for the 2018-2019 school year, WHEREAS the district administration has designed in conjunction with Levels Barber Institute a program which meets the objectives set forth by the Board and the New York State Education Department, and, WHEREAS the Board of Education authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Levels Barber Institute to provide the services, and, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED; That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Levels Barber Institute at a cost not to exceed $18,270.00. It is acknowledged and agreed that pursuant to the terms of that certain intermunicipal agreement by and between the City of Yonkers Board of Education (“BOE”) and the City of Yonkers (the “City”) as filed in the Office of the City Clerk on June 16, 2014, the terms of this agreement are subject to review and revision by the Corporation Counsel, as well as approval by the City’s Board of Contract and Supply. Furthermore, this Agreement shall not be enforceable until signed by both parties and approved by the Corporation Counsel’s Office.
