Rationale:
|
Via Resolution 16.20 at their stated meeting on March 22, 2018, the Board of Trustees awarded the above assignment to KG&D for $15,000.00. KG&D had been engaged to produce a report evaluating the best use for the Townhouses and register them with the New York State Education Department (NYSED).
KG&D has completed the study and determined that these structures did not have any cost effective use for the District and should, at some point be demolished. Therefore any feasibility design work was not required and is being deleted from this task saving $6,500.00.

Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS: via Resolution 17.5 at the stated meeting on January 20, 2016, the Board of Education authorized the award of a requirements based, professional Architectural/Engineering services contract to KG&D Architects in response to District RFQ313 “Architectural & Engineering Services for the School Facilities Management Department” for an amount not to exceed $1 million, amended on June 20, 2017 to increase the original agreement by $500,000.00 for a total amount not to exceed $1,500,000.00, and
WHEREAS: via Resolution 16.20 at the stated meeting on March 22, 2018 the Board of Education authorized the assignment of Professional Architectural/Engineering Services for CIP10829, “Evaluation Report Townhouses” at the Boyce Thompson School, under said Contract 617160 to KG&D in the amount of $15,000.00 for aterm of 365 calendar days, and
WHEREAS: certain services anticipated for that task have been deleted for a cost credit of $6,500.00 reducing the task fee to $8,500.00.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Superintendent of Schools is hereby authorized to issue an AMENDMENT ( Credit) to KG&D Architects, 285 Main Street, Mt. Kisco, New York 10549, to the task of providing professional Architectural/Engineering Services for the capital project 10829, “Evaluation report on the Townhouses” at the Boyce Thompson School decreasing the overall cost from $15,000 to $8,500 under Contract No. 617160, “Architectural & Engineering Services for the School Facilities Management Department”.
