Rationale: Westchester Jewish Community Services
Term: November, 2018 – August, 2019
Amount: $15,000
Scope: Agreement to amend existing contract with Westchester Jewish Community Services to provide additional socioemotional and mental health services to Palisade Preparatory School students. This is the second amendment to existing master contract #2019-00000464. The original resolution for $115,093 was approved by the Board 11/20/18 and BOCS on 11/29/18. The first amendment in the amount of $25,000 was approved by the Board on 3/20/19 and pending BOCS approval on 4/4/19. This second amendment represents an increase of $15,000 due an increase of services being provided. The total contract amount will be $155,093.

Resolution: WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to amend it existing contract with Westchester Jewish Community Services to purchase additional consulting services to support socioemotional and mental health services to Palisade Preparatory School for the November, 2018 to August, 2019 term,

WHEREAS the district administration has designed in conjunction with Westchester Jewish Community Services, a program which meets the objectives set forth by the Board and the New York State Education Department, and,

WHEREAS the District has determined that these services can best be provided by Westchester Jewish Community Services, and,

WHEREAS the District has evaluated past services from the vendor and has determined that Westchester Jewish Community Services has performed in a satisfactory manner, and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Westchester Jewish Community Services at a cost not to exceed $15,000.

It is acknowledged and agreed that pursuant to the terms of that certain intermunicipal agreement by and between the City of Yonkers Board of Education (“BOE”) and the City of Yonkers (the “City”) as filed in the Office of the City Clerk on June 16, 2014, the terms of this agreement are subject to review and revision by the Corporation Counsel, as well as approval by the City’s Board of Contract and Supply. Furthermore, this Agreement shall not be enforceable until signed by both parties and approved by the Corporation Counsel’s Office.
