Term: November, 2019- April 2020
Amount: $7,800.00
Scope: This agreement with Barbara Kestenbaum Consulting Services is to provide six full days of professional development at the Andrus Orchard School for the special education teachers to:
•Build their capacity to incorporate research-based practices into their instruction
•Engage in facilitated small group sessions to identify and reflect on effective practices in order to drive continuous improvement in their instruction
•Adapt the teaching strategies to match the needs of their students

Resolution:

WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to enter into a contract with Barbara Kestenbaum Consulting Services to purchase consulting services to support professioinal development for special education teachers at the Andrus- The Orchard School for the 2019-2020 school year,
WHEREAS the district administration has designed in conjunction with Barbara Kestenbarum Consulting Services a program which meets the objectives set forth by the Board and the New York State Education Department, and,
WHEREAS the Board of Education authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Barbara Kestenbaum Consulting Services to provide these services, and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Barbara Kestenbaum Consulting Services at a cost not to exceed $7,800.00 .
It is acknowledged and agreed that pursuant to the terms of that certain intermunicipal agreement by and between the City of Yonkers Board of Education (“BOE”) and the City of Yonkers (the “City”) as filed in the Office of the City Clerk on June 16, 2014, the terms of this agreement are subject to review and revision by the Corporation Counsel, as well as approval by the City’s Board of Contract and Supply. Furthermore, this Agreement shall not be enforceable until signed by both parties and approved by the Corporation Counsel’s Office.
