Rationale:

Agreement to amend existing resolution (19.6 BOE December 20th, 2017 BOCS January 2018) with Marshall Cavendish Education – ANDRUS the Orchard School to provide professional development services and Math Buddies Digital Program for students and staff at the Orchard School. This amendment represents a decrease of 12,500.00 due to cancellation of professional development services for the 2017-18 academic year. The total contract amount will be $2,500.00 for the Math Buddies Digital Program.

Resolution:

WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to enter into a contract with Marshall Cavendish Education to purchase Math Buddies Digital Program for students and staff at the Julia Dyckman Andrus Memorial Orchard School for the 2017-2018 school year,
WHEREAS the district administration has designed through consultation with the Julia Dyckman Andrus Memorial Orchard School liaison and Marshall Cavendish Education a program which meets the objectives set forth by the Board and the New York State Education Department, and,
WHEREAS the Board of Education authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Marshall Cavendish Education to provide these services, and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Marshall Cavendish Education at a cost not to exceed $2,500.00.
It is acknowledged and agreed that pursuant to the terms of that certain intermunicipal agreement by and between the City of Yonkers Board of Education (“BOE”) and the City of Yonkers (the “City”) as filed in the Office of the City Clerk on June 16, 2014, the terms of this agreement are subject to review and revision by the Corporation Counsel, as well as approval by the City’s Board of Contract and Supply. Furthermore, this Agreement shall not be enforceable until signed by both parties and approved by the Corporation Counsel’s Office.
