Rationale: Via Resolution 17.2 at their stated meeting on February 10, 2016, the Board of Trustees awarded the above subject assignment to Fuller and D’Angelo, P.C., Architects (F&D) in the amount of $419,500 under their requirements contract. Via Resolution 16.4 at their stated meeting on August 15, 2018, the Board of Trustees amended the above subject assignment by $61,000 to increase their fee to $480,500.

This second amendment is required for to pay for added district directed reimbursable expenses (which was originally underfunded at $7,500) including:

1. Environmental sampling, testing and abatement design additional hazardous material sampling, testing $12,045.00

2. Additional printing (project was split into 2 construction seasons) beyond that additional printing fees. $917.43

This is to also extend their assignment time to June 30, 2020 for paperwork and payment. Construction is substantially complete.

Resolution: Ladies and Gentlemen:

WHEREAS: under Resolution 17.5 at the stated meeting on January 20, 2016, the Board of Education authorized the award of a requirements based, professional Architectural/Engineering services contract to Fuller and D’Angelo, P.C., Architects in response to District RFQ313 “Architectural & Engineering Services for the School Facilities Management Department” for an amount not to exceed $1 million, with the most recent amendment on October 16, 2019 to increase the agreement for a total amount not to exceed $4,500,000.00 and

WHEREAS: work as defined under that contract is required for capital project 10656 “Reconstruction of Portions of the Exterior Envelope, Select Interior Finishes and HVAC Systems” at Gorton High School, and

WHEREAS: a second task amendment is required to include additional reimbursable expenses for the CIP 10656,

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Superintendent of Schools is hereby authorized to amend the task to Fuller and D’Angelo, P.C., Architects, 45 Knollwood Road, Elmsford, NY 10523, for providing professional Architectural/Engineering for the capital project 10656 “Reconstruction of Portions of the Exterior Envelope, Select Interior Finishes and HVAC Systems” at Gorton High School for an additional amount of $12,891.53 increasing the contract amount from $480,500 to $493,391.53 under Contract No. 617108, “Architectural & Engineering Services for the School Facilities Management Department” and extending their time to June 30, 2020.
