Rationale:
|
Bids for RFB -6337 were publically advertised, received and opened on November 30, 2018.
7 bids was received and reviewed. This year’s award is $112,530.00 less than last year’s contract due to a reduction in estimated amount of installation and repair work that will be required.
WBE Fence Company, Inc., has won this contract in the past through competitive bidding and has performed acceptably. Last year’s contract was awarded for $161,740.00, out of which $160,985.00 has been expensed to date, with only $755.00 remaining in the contract. The contract expires on 12/31/2018.
The contract is being awarded for $49,210.00. This is the actual bid total. Due to an error made by the contractor when adding the lines and totally the items in schedule B, a different amount of $51,145.50 is written in the bid.
This is the annual service contract, with the provision for renewal upto three years by mutual consent under the same terms and conditions for the fence installation and repair as needed.

WHEREAS: in compliance with NYS General Municipal Law 103 bids were duly solicited, opened in public and read aloud on November 30, 2018 for Bid 6337 and,
WHEREAS: 7 bids were received with WBE Fence Company, Inc., being the lowest, responsive and responsible bid of $49,210, and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that the Superintendent of Schools is authorized to enter into a contract for Bid No. 6337, “Fence Installation and Repair” to The WBE Fence Company, Inc., 11 Deer Court, Brewster, N.Y. 10509, in the amount of $49,210.00 for a term of 365 days.
