Rationale:
|
This is to furnish and install furniture for the classrooms being added and reconstructed at the Eugenio Maria de Hostos Micro Society School.
The purchase of furniture for CIP 10807 is being procured via separate Resolutions with some to be purchased under state contract and others let for public bid. The total value of all furniture to purchase under CIP 10807 is in the amount of $193,601.46.
This resolution is for the furnishing and delivering (11) teaching desk stations, (30) stools, (9) file cabinets, (11) teacher chairs, (48) student chairs size small, (35) medium student chairs size medium, (208) student chairs size large, (2) mobile dry erase boards, and (1) activity table.

Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS: New furniture is required to be purchased for CIP 10807, Classroom Addition and Alterations” at the Eugenio Maria de Hostos Micro Society School; and
WHEREAS: the furniture required is available for purchase through the N.Y.S. Contract #PC68367, December 2, 2018 – December 1, 2023, at an acceptable price from Creative Library Concepts acting as authorized dealer for Krueger International, Inc., D/B/A KI; and
WHEREAS: in accordance with General Municipal Law, the district is permitted to avail itself of the goods awarded in this contract.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the award for the furnishing and installation of office furniture be awarded to Creative Library Concepts, PO Box 313 Manalapan, NJ 07726 will provide discounted Furniture Products as specified under their N.Y.S. O.G.S. Contract #PC68367 in an amount not to exceed $53,749.15.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Yonkers Board of Education authorizes the Purchasing Agent to issue a purchase order to Creative Library Concepts.
