Rationale:
|
Assignment of Engineering CIP10881 “HVAC Upgrades” Saunders High School under Contract 618430 to LiRo Engineering, Inc., for Environmental Engineering Construction Administration Services, in the amount of $79,432.35 for 365 calendar days.
Via Resolution 17.5 at their stated meeting on January 20, 2016 the Board of Trustees awarded a requirements contract to LiRo Engineering for an amount not to exceed $1 million amended on June 20, 2017 to increase the original agreement by $500,000.00 for a total amount not to exceed $1,500,000.00. This resolution is to assign the following specific capital work under that contract.
RFP 420-20-03 for the subject project was issued on September 11, 2020 to the 3 firms already under contract with the District. There were two responses. The high is $154,300.00.
As result of the examination of the responses, it was determined that LiRo Engineering would be the best firm suited for this project and happens to have the lowest cost proposal. Work is to be substantially completed by the end of the calendar year.

Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS: under Resolution 17.5 at the stated meeting on January 20, 2016, the Board of Education authorized the award of a requirements based Architectural/Engineering services contract to LiRo Engineering in response to District RFQ313 “Architectural & Engineering Services” for an amount not to exceed $1 million, amended on June 20, 2017 to increase the original agreement by $500,000.00 for a total amount not to exceed $1,500,000.00, and
WHEREAS: architectural and/or engineering services as specified under Contract 618430 are required for RFP 420-20-03 CIP 10881 “HVAC Upgrades” at Saunders High School, and
WHEREAS: the response by LiRo Engineering to request for proposals RFP 420-20-03 issued by the Facilities Department was deemed most advantageous to the District with assignment of select services of the proposal at a cost not to exceed $79,432.35.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Superintendent of Schools is hereby authorized to appoint LiRo Engineering Inc., 3 Aerial Way, Syosset, New York 11791 to the task of providing Enhanced Construction Management Services for CIP 10881 “HVAC Upgrades” at Saunders High School RFP 420-20-03 under an existing Requirements Contract 618430 to LiRo Engineering Inc., in the amount of $79,432.35 for 365 calendar days.
