Rationale:
|
This is to remove and replace with new modesty restroom partitions in 102 bathroom stalls in DiChiaro School 8, School 29, Family School 32, Cornell Academy and Eugenio Maria DeHostos School. The new units are made by Scranton Products of HDPE (high-density polyethylene) with continuous mount angles and stainless steel hardware.

Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS, The District has determined that the restroom modesty partitions in the 102 bathroom stalls in the restrooms at DiChiaro School 8, School 29, Family School 32, Cornell Academy and Eugenio Maria DeHostos School have deteriorated to the point of being unserviceable and need to be replaced, and
WHEREAS: procurement of the goods and services required to have these partitions removed and replaced is being made in accordance with General Municipal Law 104b, from Young Equipment Sales through Southern Westchester BOCES Contract No. 2016-17-C15, and
WHEREAS, Young Equipment Sales has submitted an acceptable, requisite proposal package to for the District to execute this procurement of goods and services.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Yonkers Board of Education authorizes the Purchasing Agent to issue a purchase order to Young Equipment Sales, Inc. 325 Rabro Drive,
Hauppauge, NY 11788 to remove and replace the restroom modesty partitions in the 102 bathroom stalls in the restrooms at DiChiaro School 8, School 29, Family School 32, Cornell Academy and Eugenio Maria DeHostos School for an amount not to exceed $138,268.00 through Southern Westchester BOCES Contract No. 2016-17-C15 for a term of 180 calendar days.
