Term: Sept. 2019 - June 30, 2025 Amount: $136.092.00 Scope: Each 7th and 8th grade teacher of Social Studies in the district will receive digital instructor access to the digital textbook, digital dashboard, and digital supplemental guides. The teacher will be able to provide each 7th and 8th grade student with the digital textbooks (7th and 8th grade) and all digital supplemental resources.

WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to enter into a contract with National Geographic Learning to purchase the digital platform to support supplements for the hardcover textbook (previously purchased), to provide digital textbooks to each student, and to provide supplemental digital resources for teachers and students and to provide a digital teacher dashboard to progress monitor students and to advance digital supplements to assist student learning ( in addition to the ability for the teacher to raise and lower reading levels of text) for the 2019-2020 year through the end of the 2024-2025 school year, WHEREAS the district administration has designed in conjunction with National Geographic Learning a program which meets the objectives set forth by the Board and the New York State Education Department, and, WHEREAS the Board of Education authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with National Geographic Learning to provide these services, and NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with National Geographic Learning at a cost not to exceed $136,092.00. It is acknowledged and agreed that pursuant to the terms of that certain intermunicipal agreement by and between the City of Yonkers Board of Education ("BOE") and the City of Yonkers (the "City") as filed in the Office of the City Clerk on June 16, 2014, the terms of this agreement are subject to review and revision by the Corporation Counsel, as well as approval by the City's Board of Contract and Supply. Furthermore, this Agreement shall not be enforceable until signed by both parties and approved by the Corporation Counsel's Office.
