Rationale: Syracuse University Project Advance
Term: May, 2018 – August 31, 2018
Amount: $10,234
Scope: Agreement to amend existing contract with Syracuse University Project Advance to provide additional services to Roosevelt High School-ECS students in the Smart Scholars Early College High School Program with the opportunity to earn college credits by taking dual credit college level equivalent nine semester hour credit courses at Roosevelt High School-ECS. This is an amendment to the existing master contract of $53,360 (BOE approved 1/17/18, BOCS approved 1/25/18) and represents an increase of $10,234 due an increase of schools and services being provided. The total contract amount will be $63,594.

Resolution: WHEREAS the Board of Education amend its existing contract with Syracuse University Project Advance to purchase consulting services to support additional services to Roosevelt High School-ECS students in the Smart Scholars Early College High School Program with the opportunity to earn college credits by taking dual credit college level equivalent nine semester hour credit courses at Roosevelt High School-ECS,

WHEREAS the district administration has designed in conjunction with Syracuse University Project Advance, a program which meets the objectives set forth by the Board and the New York State Education Department, and,

WHEREAS the District has determined that these services can best be provided by Syracuse University Project Advance, and,

WHEREAS the District has evaluated past services from the vendor and has determined that Syracuse University Project Advance has performed in a satisfactory manner, and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Syracuse University Project Advance at a cost not to exceed $10,234.

It is acknowledged and agreed that pursuant to the terms of that certain intermunicipal agreement by and between the City of Yonkers Board of Education (“BOE”) and the City of Yonkers (the “City”) as filed in the Office of the City Clerk on June 16, 2014, the terms of this agreement are subject to review and revision by the Corporation Counsel, as well as approval by the City’s Board of Contract and Supply. Furthermore, this Agreement shall not be enforceable until signed by both parties and approved by the Corporation Counsel’s Office.
