Rationale:
|
This resolution is to grant the administration the authority to enter into contract as described above. In compliance with General Municipal Law 103, this contract was let for public bid and bids were opened in public and read aloud on December 21, 2017. Bids were examined and all due diligence observed in determining the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. There were only two bids received $83,498.00 and $198,730.00.
Nickerson Corp. was interviewed and all due diligence was taken to verify that they met the specified experience requirements, were comfortable with the work and their bid. T
This is a continuation of the District effort to maintain safe and comfortable environment by providing a new auditorium chairs and restoration and painting of the existing auditorium floor.
ASSESSMENT PROCESS: The School Facilities Management will be inspecting the contractor’s work and monitoring the construction schedule through on-site inspections, biweekly progress meetings and record keeping.
CONTRACT DURATION: 365 Calendar Days.

Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS: The District has determined that the existing auditorium chairs needs replacement to provide a safe, comfortable and astatically pleasing environment, and
WHEREAS: bids were issued for public advertisement and opened on December 21, 2017 in compliance with General Municipal Law for Bid No.RFB-6194 for the “Auditorium Chairs Replacement for Montessori School 31”
WHEREAS: such bids were duly examined and as a result of this examination of the bids submitted, the administration has determined that Nickerson Corporation is the lowest responsive and responsible bidder with a bid of $83,498.00
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that Bid No. RFB-6194, “Auditorium Chairs Replacement for Montessori School 31” is awarded to Nickerson Corporation, 11 Moffitt Blvd, Bay Shore NY 11706 in the amount not to exceed $83,498.00, for a term of 365 calendar days.
