Rationale:
|
This EQUIPMENT CONTRACT is for the purchase of High Tech Security Equipment, Programming & Commissioning (Part & Smarts) for the “Reconstruction of Building Envelope, Interior Finishes and Site Work” at Museum School 24. This will permit viewing by the City Command center as well as District administration. The work will include but is not limited to: furnishing all access control, CCTV and intrusion head end and peripheral equipment; programming; hardware and software design; commissioning and training. The installation of all equipment, conduit and wiring is being performed under the Electrical Contract. The cost is $139,938.53 on NYSOGS contract.
Overall, CIP CIP10745 provides for a new roof, repointed and sealed masonry, new exterior doors, new high tech security, relocation of the main office, lighting upgrades, miscellaneous sidewalk & drainage improvements and miscellaneous plaster and paint and requisite abatement.

Ladies and Gentlemen;
WHEREAS: The District desires to have a High Tech Security Access Control and CCTV system installed for “Reconstruction of Building Envelope, Interior Finishes and Site Work” at the Museum School 24;
WHEREAS: the High Tech Security System is compatible with and viewable by the City Yonkers, and
WHEREAS: such goods and services are available from ITG Larson, Inc., through the New York State Office of General Services Contract PT66950, Group 77201, Award 20191 which expires August 26, 2020, for a total of $139,938.53, and
WHEREAS: ITG Larson, Inc., is the City’s vendor to provide their Access Control and CCTV services, and
WHEREAS: Continuity between both entities is desired and most cost effective,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Yonkers Board of Education authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to award this contract for "Purchase of High Tech Security Equipment, Programming & Commissioning for CIP10746 “Reconstruction of Building Envelope, Interior Finishes and Site Work” at Museum School 25 to ITG Larson, Inc., 155 Lafayette Avenue, White Plains, NY 10603 under NYSOGS Contract 66950 in an amount not to exceed $139,938.53 for a term of 365 calendar days.
