Scope:Through a Partial Hospital Program, Family Services of Westchester, Inc. will provide clinical/therapeutic services with a focus on students in grade Pre-K thru 2nd who have experienced trauma and require help to stabilize them. This short term intervention is limited to a maximum of twelve students per six week cycle. Family Services of Westchester, Inc. will also provide meals, as appropriate. By funding the educational component (5 hours of tutoring per student per week) of the program. Yonkers Public Schools will be better equipped to maintain these students in community schools, rather than referring them to costly out-of district programming.
The decrease in funds is due to the fact that the program services did not start until November 2019 and also a decrease in the amount of students attending the program.

WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to obtain partial Hospital Program clinical/therapeutic services for young children who have experienced trauma and require mental health support
WHEREAS the Board of Education has selected has selected Family Services of Westchester, Inc. to provide these services for the 2019 -2020 school year in a total cost not to exceed $155,130.00.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into a contract with the above provider for the said amount.
